We welcome a very special young performer to Emmanuel at 1pm on Wednesday 14 November for the latest in our Lunchtime Concert Series.

Juliette Richards is 15 years old and goes to school in Cambridge. She started
playing the piano shortly before her eighth birthday by the time she
was 11 she had passed her grade 8 ABRSM with distinction, while at
13 she obtained her ‘second’ performance diploma (LTCL) with a high
distinction (96%).
In April Juliette was a finalist of the Royal Philharmonic Society-Duet
Prize Young Instrumentalist competition.  In 2015 Juliette
was delighted to have progressed to the second round of the BBC
Young Musician of the Year competition, having gained almost full
marks from the jurors who praised her ‘musical maturity beyond her
years’, the ‘challenging programme matched to her talent’ and a
performance that ‘really took us on a journey’.

Juliette will perform the following programme for us tomorrow:

Beethoven – Sonata no. 23 in F minor, op. 57 ‘Appassionata’
Chopin – Andante spianato et Grande polonaise brillante, op. 22
Liebermann – Gargoyles, op. 29
