Music week beginning 6 May

By | 3rd May 2019

Our grateful thanks go to Anne Page, who stepped in at the last moment last week for our Lunchtime Concert after a cancellation.  A very varied programme of music was enjoyed; Anne has CDs of music played on the Emmanuel organ for sale via the Church Office, priced £10 so do let us know if you would like one.

On Wednesday 8 May at 1pm, we’re very pleased to be hosting Cambridge Chamber Ensemble again, a very popular group with our concert audience!  In addition to the viola and piano, they are joined this time by clarinettist Alina Vorobyeva, a prize-winning student from the Royal Academy of Music.

The programme will be as follows:

Alina Vorobyeva  (clarinet)
Stephen Foster  (viola)
Olga Samusenko   (piano)

WA Mozart  ‘Kegelstatt’ Trio for clarinet, viola & piano  K498

I  Andante   2  Menuetto & Trio   3  Rondeaux Allegretto

G Fauré   ‘Elégie’  Op 24  (version for viola & piano)

CM von Weber   ‘Concertino for Clarinet’   Op 26

We hope many of you will be able to join us.
