Music at Emmanuel during week beginning 4 March

Fumi Otsuki returns to Emmanuel at 1pm on Wednesday 6 March together with pianist Sarah Kershaw with a varied programme for violin and piano.

 

 

Their programme will be as follows:

Edvard Grieg: Violin Sonata No.2 Op.13
1st mov. : Lento doloroso, Allegro vivace
2nd mov. : Allegretto tranquillo
3rd mov. : Allegro animato

Clara Schumann: No.1 from 3 Romances Op.22
James MacMillan: After the Tryst
Ralph Vaughan Williams: Fantasia on Greensleeves
Frank Bridge: “Country Dance” from 4 Short Pieces for violin and piano H.104
Ralph Vaughan Williams: No.1 and 2 from 6 Studies in English folksong
Toru Takemitsu: Distance de fee
